Perfect for babies 7 months and older, when they’re confidently sitting up and full of personality, this session brings together imaginative themes and real, carefully chosen props to create an enchanting world just for your baby. We’ve even had the joy of photographing children up to 6 years old, because every age has its own magic.
This isn’t just another photoshoot — it’s a signature experience that families treasure for a lifetime. When you look back at these photos years from now, you’ll remember not just the images, but the joy, wonder, and love that filled the room that day. If you want to give your child a keepsake that truly celebrates who they are, the Themed Sitter Session is your perfect choice.
Before You Begin
- Every baby is unique, and our focus is on capturing the candid, natural moments that truly reflect your little one’s personality during their infancy. Our sessions are never rigidly posed — while we recreate beautiful setups consistently, babies’ playful and spontaneous nature means the moments can be wonderfully unpredictable. We celebrate that delightful messiness and joy, aiming to capture genuine expressions and interactions rather than perfect imitations of previous shoots. This approach ensures that each photoshoot is a truly authentic and special experience tailored to your baby.
- Many of our clients now prefer to celebrate their baby’s birthday with a beautiful themed photoshoot rather than hosting a large-scale reception or banquet hall event. After the rice ceremony, a themed birthday celebration through photography has become a popular and meaningful way to mark these special milestones. We offer themed birthday photoshoots as part of our sitter sessions; however, please note that this option is available only with our Elegant session and above. Due to the additional logistics involved with certain props and setups, these birthday themes cannot be accommodated within our Mini or Budget sitter sessions, which have more limited budgets and simpler arrangements. Choosing the appropriate package ensures we can deliver the highest quality experience and capture your baby’s celebration in a truly memorable way.
- While we provide all the necessary props, backgrounds, accessories, and professional lighting to create a stunning photoshoot, there are a couple of important things for you to arrange as a client. Firstly, your baby’s outfit—please refer to our comprehensive article for guidance and inspiration to help you choose the perfect attire. Secondly, if you are planning a themed pre- or post-birthday celebration that includes a cake smash or melon smash, you will need to arrange the cake or melon yourself, as these are not included in our photography services.

As a mother since August 5, 2022, and the founder of ACubePhotos, my approach to sitter baby photography is deeply rooted in care, patience, and respect for your little one’s comfort and safety. I understand that this is a special stage filled with curiosity and discovery, and it’s essential to create a relaxed environment where your baby feels secure.
When it comes to sitter sessions, I carefully select and use props that prioritize your baby’s safety at all times. I never rush the process — if your baby needs to rest, sleep, or be soothed, we take all the time necessary. The photography itself doesn’t take long, but building trust and getting along with your baby is what truly matters. We spend time playing, engaging, and helping your baby feel comfortable in front of the camera, so the photos capture their genuine personality and joy.
Your baby’s well-being is always my top priority. If you have any concerns or special requests, I encourage you to share them openly. Together, we’ll ensure the session is not only beautiful but also a positive and memorable experience for your family.

We offer our session packages across five distinct budget segments, allowing you the freedom to choose the option that best fits your needs and preferences. No matter which package you select, every session includes beautiful family photos featuring any family members you wish to include. 1. Mini Sitter Session
Mini Sitter Session is our most budget-friendly offering, thoughtfully crafted for parents who wish to capture their baby’s adorable expressions in a single themed setup. This session also includes family portraits with any family member you’d like to involve.
Please note that in the Mini Session, the baby will be seated directly on the floor, and we do not use premium props such as themed beds, chairs, tents, Christmas carts, or similar elements seen in our extended galleries. Additionally, birthday-specific props like “ONE” or “TWO” blocks are not included in this package.
While the prop selection is minimal due to the budget nature of this session, you can still expect high-quality results and beautiful memories that reflect your baby’s joyful personality.
2. Budget Sitter Session
Our Budget Sitter Session includes two beautifully curated theme setups, offering a balance between affordability and creativity. You’re welcome to explore our extensive gallery to choose your preferred themes.
However, similar to the Mini Session, please note that certain premium props — such as decorative chairs, beds, themed carts, or elaborate birthday elements like “ONE” or “TWO” boxes — are not included if the session is conducted at your location. Additionally, birthday-specific themes like cake or melon smash are not available in this package when booked for an on-location shoot.
That said, we offer a unique flexibility with the Budget Session. If you’re able to visit our home studio, you can choose any two themes from our catalog, and we will recreate them exactly as shown, including the premium props. Even themed birthday setups like cake smash can be arranged at no additional cost — all you need to do is bring along the cake or melon. This makes our studio session a fantastic value without compromising on creativity or quality.
3. Elegant Sitter Session
The Elegant Sitter Session is where our themed photography truly begins to shine. Featuring three beautifully curated setups, this package strikes the perfect balance between value and creativity — making it one of our most loved and frequently booked sessions. From this package onward, you are welcome to select any theme from our catalog, and we will recreate it exactly as shown, complete with all the premium props and decor that bring the magic to life.
This session offers not only variety but also the creative freedom to express your baby’s personality through each setup. Whether it’s a cozy Christmas scene, a whimsical jungle adventure, or a beachside holiday — your chosen themes will be brought to life with care, precision, and a touch of storytelling. There are no restrictions on props, making this an excellent choice for parents who want a more elaborate and visually rich photoshoot.
We also warmly invite any family members — parents, siblings, or even grandparents — to be part of the session. These shared moments make the photographs even more meaningful. With our experience and gentle handling of babies, we ensure that your child is not only comfortable but also enjoys the session as much as you do. 4. Luxury Sitter Session
The Luxury Sitter Session is designed for those who wish to fully experience the magic of themed baby photography. This package includes four unique themes of your choice, each brought to life with our signature props, creative setups, and attention to detail. Much like our Elegant Session, all themes featured in this session include premium props and backdrops, just as displayed in our catalog. This is another of our most popular and frequently booked offerings, loved for the variety and richness it provides.
We often receive questions about whether four setups might be too much for a baby — and our answer is a confident no. In fact, four themes are widely accepted as a global standard for this kind of milestone session. With careful planning and a baby-friendly approach, we ensure that the experience is completely stress-free. Prior to the shoot, we discuss your baby’s routine in detail and build a session schedule that allows ample breaks for feeding, naps, and diaper changes. This makes the experience smooth and enjoyable for everyone involved — especially your little one.
As always, family members are welcome to join the session, adding warmth and emotion to the photos. With the Luxury Sitter Session, you get a storytelling experience with a broader canvas — giving you more memories, more variety, and a gallery that you’ll treasure for a lifetime.
5. Grand Siter Session
The Grand Sitter Session is a wholesome and indulgent experience — our most extensive offering with five carefully curated themes. This session is designed for those who want to create a truly rich and unforgettable visual story for their little one. Through our experience over the years, we’ve discovered that five themes strike the perfect balance — providing variety without overwhelming either the baby or the photographer. While we have occasionally photographed six themes in a single session, we’ve found that five is the sweet spot for comfort, creativity, and results.
We understand that some clients are excited to explore even more themes — eight or even ten in a single go. In such cases, we recommend booking multiple sessions across different slots, allowing both the baby and the creative process the time they deserve. As a gesture of appreciation, loyalty discounts are always extended for subsequent bookings. These details are personally shared during your first session so you can plan with clarity and confidence.
Although not our highest-selling package, we fondly refer to the Grand Sitter Session as “a package for the chosen ones.” If your budget allows, this is the most elaborate and immersive sitter photography experience we offer at ACubePhotos. With five themes, family participation, premium props, and our undivided attention — no other package delivers quite the same depth, joy, and storytelling in a single session.
Family Photographs
At ACubePhotos, every sitter session includes family photographs — because we believe that the bond you share with your little one deserves to be captured alongside their milestones. Whether it’s parents, grandparents, siblings, or even a governess who plays a special role in your baby’s life, we welcome every family member who wishes to be part of the memories. To maintain balance and ensure a smooth session, we may limit the number of individual photos per person if there are many participants, but rest assured, no one from your side will ever be left out.
If there’s another child in your family — perhaps an older sibling or a cousin — their presence can greatly enrich the session. Some of our most cherished photographs come from interactions between the baby and a slightly older sibling, creating natural moments of affection, curiosity, and laughter. These sibling moments often turn into timeless memories that you’ll look back on with joy, making the session even more special for your whole family.
While we encourage everyone to be involved, it’s important to remember that the spotlight of the session is always on your baby. Too many people around at once may overwhelm them or distract from the shoot. For this reason, we recommend limiting active participation to one or two (maximum three) members at a time. If you’re planning for larger group portraits, it’s best to schedule those during an event-based session like a rice ceremony or birthday celebration. Family photographs look absolutely beautiful when taken against our theme-based backdrops — you can see some heartfelt examples in our gallery to envision your own moment.
Pre-Birthday Celebration
A themed sitter session isn’t just about capturing cute milestones — it can also serve as a perfect pre-birthday celebration, especially before your baby’s first or second birthday. At this tender age, babies begin to show their personalities, making it the ideal time to create playful, themed memories that reflect their growing charm. One of the most popular additions to these sessions is the cake smash — a fun, messy, and absolutely delightful concept that we proudly offer at no extra photography charge. The only thing you need to do is arrange the cake, and we’ll take care of the rest. We also offer a unique twist with melon smash sessions, which are equally adorable and exciting — more details on that below.
We highly recommend scheduling a pre-birthday sitter session when your baby is around 10–11 months old. At this age, most babies are camera-friendly, curious, and expressive, allowing us to capture the most heartwarming and lively moments. This timeline also ensures we have ample time to carefully edit and deliver your photos well before your little one’s big day, so you can share these priceless memories on social media, in digital invites, or during your celebration.
1. Cake Smash
The cake smash is one of the most joyful, candid, and fun elements of a pre-birthday sitter session — and we at ACubePhotos absolutely love capturing these messy, magical moments. To make the experience truly special, we arrange dedicated props and thematic elements exclusively designed for cake smash photography. These setups are available from our Elegant Sitter Session package and above. However, if you opt to visit our home studio, we can also arrange a cake smash setup with our Budget Session, giving you more flexibility without compromising on quality or fun.
We would like to reassure you that while this experience is included at no additional photography charge, the cake itself must be arranged by you. As professionals, we do not supply or transport food items, but we will work closely with you to help choose a cake that complements your selected theme and looks beautiful in photos. For the best results, we recommend keeping the cake within 1 lb — larger cakes tend to lose their structure and are difficult for babies to smash playfully. In our experience, 60–70% of the cake often remains edible, so there’s always plenty to enjoy after the shoot!
While cake smashes are most commonly done for first birthdays, they can be a great addition to second-year pre-birthday celebrations as well. That said, for older toddlers, cake cutting may feel more age-appropriate, and we’re happy to photograph that too — it all comes down to what you envision for your child’s celebration. Whatever you choose, rest assured that it’s a complimentary add-on from us, thoughtfully integrated into the session to make your little one’s milestones even more memorable.
2. Melon Smash
If you’re looking for something truly unique and eye-catching to mark your little one’s special milestone, Melon Smash is an exciting and refreshing twist! The concept, which originated in Australia, is still quite new and rare in India, making it a standout choice for parents who want to do something different. Unlike the more commonly seen cake smash, this vibrant and healthy session involves your baby smashing and playing with fresh melons — and it’s just as fun and adorable as it sounds! It’s a perfect way to create scroll-stopping moments for your social media or to preserve as treasured keepsakes.
Just like with our cake smash sessions, we offer melon smash at no additional photography cost. All we ask is that you bring the melon, and based on our experience, oval-shaped melons work best — they are easier to manage and photograph than round ones. The session is beautifully styled using our curated props that perfectly complement the natural colors and textures of the fruit, resulting in a fresh, summery vibe that’s both playful and elegant.
Melon Smash is ideal for first or second birthday celebrations. Unlike cakes, melons are non-allergenic and baby-safe, making them a great option for little ones with sensitive skin or dietary restrictions. With our expert setup and handpicked accessories, we ensure the look is cohesive, delightful, and utterly Instagram-worthy. Where will the session take place?
Sessions are typically conducted at the client’s location for convenience. However, if there are space constraints or if you prefer a more controlled environment, you are welcome to opt for our Home Studio setup. Please note that in cases where we find the client’s location difficult to access or unsuitable, we may choose not to accept bookings for Mini Sessions at that location.
Will I be able to cancel the Session?
Please note that cancellations for sitter sessions cannot be accommodated. However, we understand that plans can change — rescheduling to a different date is allowed, subject to availability.
Will you provide all the props?
At ACubePhotos, we take complete responsibility for providing all necessary props, backdrops, and setup accessories for every session. Whether it’s a mini session or a grand session, our team will bring everything required to create a beautiful and cohesive setup at your chosen location.
Who will arrange for Dress?
At ACubePhotos, we prioritize the hygiene and safety of every infant we photograph. For this reason, we do not reuse baby outfits across multiple sessions. We kindly request clients to arrange the outfit(s) for their baby. However, you won’t be alone in this—we will provide detailed guidance on what works best for the session theme and your baby’s comfort. Who will arrange for Cake or Melon for Smash?
If you are planning a pre-birthday celebration that includes a cake smash or melon smash, kindly note that the cake or melon must be arranged by you. While we do not charge anything additional for photographing the smash itself, we do not provide or source the cake or melon as part of our service. We’ll be happy to guide you on suitable options to ensure the setup complements the theme beautifully.
Can you take photos outdoor also?
Please note that outdoor photography is distinct from a sitter session. A sitter session involves multiple carefully curated theme setups, conducted in an indoor environment with fully controlled lighting to ensure consistent quality and comfort for your baby. Outdoor sessions, on the other hand, are more natural and location-driven. If you’re interested in our outdoor photography offerings, we welcome you to reach out to us directly for more details.
How can I Get the Album?
If your booking includes only a sitter session, the album will need to be collected from our location. Alternatively, we can arrange for it to be shipped to your address for an additional shipping fee. However, if your booking is part of a combined package that includes an event (such as a rice ceremony, reception, or birthday), we are pleased to offer complimentary doorstep delivery as part of the service.
